“If we weren’t doing that, I’d be bored.” Sean Murray doesn't intend to linger in NCIS and is ready to leave if one situation arises
Sean Murray has been with NCIS for more than 20 years and has no intention of leaving if one condition continues to be met.

The guest appearance turned into a story for 22 seasons, and it's still not over – Sean Murray is preparing to appear in the 23rd season of leaving NCIS.
Murray confessed during an interview with NCIS stopped getting better and stay fresh, he wouldn't want to continue working on it, as he would find it boring.
I’m proud of us that we are always trying to make it better and make good episodes. I really mean that. I’m not just saying that – because if we weren’t doing that, I’d be bored. I wouldn’t want to do it. It’s not just a job, it really keeps me really interested and I love the people that I work with.
Murray's history with the show is a long one. It wasn't originally planned this way, he was supposed to make a guest appearance in the first season of NCIS, and in the end he became one of the longest-running actors on the show. And he intends to continue working on his record, as he has no plans to leave NCIS. He argues that despite the age of years and the changes that have taken place in television, they are still doing well.
We’ve gone 22 years and the world of television has changed quite a bit and in some respects we’re a dinosaur, but we’re still got our fan base. We’re doing quite well!
For now, NCIS will stay with us for at least one more season, due out this fall. How much longer the crime series will pull, we don't know, but as long as there are fresh ideas, actors are eager to take part in the production, as you can see.
