How to revert Discord UI to old desktop style after the March update? There is a way
Miss the old Discord look? Here’s how to get it back after the latest update.

Why mess with something that was already working just fine for everyone? I think we’re all wondering that right now after yet another Discord update. While some people are just trying to move on and get used to the new look, others are struggling to adjust and really miss the old Discord. It’s frustrating when a familiar interface suddenly changes, but luckily, there’s a way to bring back the old UI.
Vencord to the rescue
If you’re really missing the old desktop-style Discord, you can bring it back with Vencord – a mod that lets you customize the UI, add extra features, and tweak things you won’t find in the official app. But keep in mind, using mods like this goes against Discord’s of Service, meaning you could risk suspension. Use it at your own risk.
Here’s how to get back to the old Discord UI using Vencord:
- the app from vencord.dev.
- Install the app and relaunch Discord.
- Open Settings by clicking the gear icon in the bottom left corner (near your name). You should see a Vencord tab on the left.
- Go to Plugins and, in the search bar under “Filters,” type "experiments". Enable this feature and restart Discord.
- Reopen Settings, scroll down to the Developer Only section, and open the Experiments tab.
- In the search bar, type "Desktop Visual Refresh", click on it, and select “Treatment 0: Control.”
- Press Esc, and you’re back to the old Discord UI.
- Zombies in popular survival game are more realistic. „Unstable” version of Project Zomboid now prevents players from using alarm exploits
- Much-criticized Civilization 7 will get big maps, and a few other welcome new features. Firaxis says is just the beginning
- Realistic building game received small roap. RoadCraft is set to get its first free content updated after release
- Paradox's „grand strategy” new feature will let us almost completely change its maps. Victoria 3 players can check it out next week
- PlayStation's second biggest hit on PC. Great ratings and crowds on Steam: this is how Stellar Blade's release looks like
