How many TFLOPS has Steam Deck
Steam Deck is one of the most popular handhelds. Will its position be challenged by Switch 2? We will tell you how many TFLOPS Valve’s console has.

For a long time, Steam Deck was one of the most powerful handhelds on the market. However, recently, Switch 2 is a really hot topic. In the past weeks we saw many leaks about the new platform from Nintendo. We even had the opportunity to see its insides and the appearance of the Joy-Cons (of course neither was confirmed officially). Many people are wondering which of these two consoles is more powerful. So, how will Switch 2 compare to the hardware from Valve?
How many TFLOPS has Steam Deck?
One of the newest Switch 2 leaks reveals its GPU power (at least supposedly). The console will reach 1.71 TFLOPS in portable and 3.1 TFLOPS in stationary mode. If these reports are confirmed, Nintendo's latest console will be more powerful than Steam Deck. Valve’s device reaches GPUs performance of 1.6 TFLOPS. In this scenario, Nintendo will stop being behind other companies with the computing power of its hardware.
Of course, the GPU power isn’t everything, both of these devices are different. Steam Deck uses SteamOS and is a portable PC. Moreover, you can run on it games from Steam, and you don't have to build your game library from scratch.
Nintendo Switch is a completely different ecosystem with its own games. However, it will The Legend of Zelda. It is good to hear that it will not be obligatory to rebuy them.
