In an interview, Harrison Ford praised Troy Baker's performance in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Ford said that AI could not replicate that performance.

In an interview published by the four million players have tried out Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, though it’s not yet clear how much of that was through purchased games or through Game .

Ford talked to John Jurgensen of the Wall Street Journal, who asked if he “has taken any steps to secure control of his likeness in preparation for a future when studios will be able to make movies using fully synthetic versions of famous actors at any age…” referencing the latest Indiana Jones film, which did feature a synthetically de-aged version of Ford in a flashback.

In response, Ford said: “You don’t need artificial intelligence to steal my soul. You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent,” referring to Troy Baker’s stellar performance as Indiana Jones in the recent MachineGames developed game. Overall, the video game adaptation, which was released back in December, has received critical praise (read our review), with Baker’s performance as a highlight.

Ford will continue working, saying to the WSJ: “When I don’t have my work, I don’t really feel free.” Within the last month, AI generated voices for its in-game announcers.

Meanwhile, Xbox is in the forefront of recent news as fans rumored PlayStation State of Play next week.
