After the world went crazy over Halls of Torment.

And although released on May 24 in early access, the game from Chasing Carrots is currently enjoying incredible popularity on Steam, its beginnings were not at all impressive. The craze for this mixture of roguelike, action RPG and bullet hell shooter began when gameplay from Halls of Torment was broadcasted by the popular streamer Asmongold.

Below you can see how the content creator, who has nearly 2 million subscribers on YouTube, fully engaged in the game.

The nearly 1.5-hour-long material, titled "This game changed my life," made the popularity charts of Halls of Torment skyrocket. From the information published on SteamDB we learn that since the publication of the stream video in question (July 6) the indie game started being played by more and more people. At its peak, more than 25,000 s played the game simultaneously. To prove how great this growth was, suffice it to say that the day before the broadcast the number of active s in the game oscillated around 1,000 people.

The game also boasts excellent reviews. Of the 5749 reviews on Steam, as many as 96% are positive.

It is worth adding at the end that at the time of writing this news Halls of Torment can be purchased on Steam at a promotional price of less than $5. Developers from Chasing Carrots plan to keep their work in early access for no longer than six months. So there is a chance that the full version of the game will see the light of day later this year.
