Premature Joy at the Return of Fallout Devs - Fans Got Cheated on Twitter
The return of classic Fallout, MDK and many other iconic series is nigh? Such was the happy future heralded by the supposed return of Interplay Entertainment. Unfortunately, the actual future quickly verified these promises.

- Interplay Entertainment's alleged Twitter announced the company's return as a publishing brand and new installments of Fallout, MDK, Clayfighter and many more of its series;
- Unfortunately, it was quickly confirmed that this is not an official announcement, but a hoax.
Although Baldur's Gate?
Even if you leave out the issue of Bethesda-owned Fallout the very mention of the last franchise should pop up some red flags. After all, we have known for a long time about the play it in early access. Equally absurd was the information from the alleged press release that the team was to work on... 15 games. Such a number of new projects would be surprising even for many large publishers, let alone a de facto newcomer on the market
Nevertheless, there were those who believed in this information. Probably that's why a real official message from Interplay Games on Twitter quickly appeared (incidentally on an unverified, but clearly authentic ). In it, players were warned about scammers impersonating the company on social media. Not much later, Interplay Entertainment was blocked by Twitter along with several other "100% genuine" s of the alleged company.
Of course, this wasn't enough to appease fans whose hopes were enkindled by the scammer's posts. Tweets quickly appeared underneath Interplay's authentic message asking/demanding (delete as appropriate) that their beloved series be brought back to life. It's doubtful, however, that there's much chance of that happening, even if we leave out the initiatives doomed to failure, i.e. Fallout and BG. Interplay's glory days are long over, which can be clearly seen from the moderately enthusiastic reception of the re-release of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.
