CDPR is gathering quite a cast for the new game. Thanks to a twitter investigation, we've learned the name of the band performing the song in the E3 trailer for the game.

Keanu Reeves appearing on the E3 stage to announce the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 was a real treat, but it seems the list of people from outside the industry involved in the production of this massively hyped game is going to be longer. Twitter @Darthsebious (Seb McBride), level designer at CDPR, invited others to guess who performs the song in the E3 trailer. It was soon found out that the song is called Chippin’ In, performed by a Swedish Post-Hardcore/Hardcore Punk outfit Refused.

This is another hint that 2077 will come with a varied soundtrack – rumor has it that at least one high-profile artist has paid a visit to CDPR’s headquarters in Warsaw – that person was allegedly Lady Gaga; furthermore, as you might , Cyberpunk’s first trailer featured the song Bullets from the famous group Archive. After hearing the preview of their output, I certainly hope Refused will deliver more than just the little fragment of their song for the trailer, and this might just be the case.
The involvement of Refused ends the search for a band that would perform songs of the band Samurai known from the table-top expansion of the universe called Rockerboy. Samurai released only one album, but it was wildly popular in the universe. CD Projekt RED's idea was to recreate their songs in 2077 – the task was most likely entrusted to Refused.
Refused produced several albums and EPs in the 90s, with The Shape of Punk… being rated as number 8 for the year 1998 on Rate Your Music. After a seventeen-year-long hiatus, they returned in 2015 with a new album. The Scandinavian band is expected to release their next album later this year.
- Some players are worried that games like Cyberpunk 2077 could get banned in US under the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act (IODA) bill
- One of the gigs in Cyberpunk 2077 raised questions even at CD Projekt RED. „I would say that if you never have that discussion, you're probably not making art”
- „We tried, and it didn't work out.” CD Projekt RED has come to with its fate, confirming that it won't stop making games like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk
