Co-creators of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty and Borderlands Set Up New Studio and Will Make AAA RPGs
Co-creators of such series as Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty and Borderlands founded a new studio - Nesting Games. Its goal is to develop AAA single player RPGs without a huge open world.

Are you tired of Ubisoft's vast open-worlds? It seems you're not alone - the developers working on the French publisher's open-world titles (including Call of Duty, decided to set up a new studio in Quebec - Nesting Games. Its aim is to develop AAA RPGs for single player, but without a huge open-world. As stated by the creative director (CCO) of the studio, Jordane Thiboust:
"We want to go back to creating RPGs that are focused on immersion, great characters, powerful storytelling, and strong gameplay. We are moving away from the 'massive open world' model, full of icons to clean up, and returning to experiences that are content-driven and ultimately respect the player's time. Whether you play our games for 30 minutes or a two-hour session, what you will get is always interesting content and a gratifying experience."
At the moment Nesting Games consists of eighteen people (you can find their names here), but the composition of the studio is not yet full. They are looking for, among others, characters artist, 3D animation, Expert 3D Artist, or AI programmers. It will probably be a few years before we play the company's first title, but its co-owner and future publisher, Digital Bros - publishing as 505 Games - assures that the developers can expect complete creative freedom.
