Marathon will soon reveal its secrets at a special gameplay showcase of the new game from the developers of the Destiny and Halo series.

A shooter game, intended to revive the forgotten FPS series, was officially revealed in 2023 (although the first leaks appeared a year earlier). However, since then, Bungie has not been eager to reveal any information about the new project (although it should be added that the developers didn't go underground either).

Nevertheless, this will soon change. After a series of teasers, the devs announced the reveal of Marathon gameplay - the event will take place on Saturday, April 12, as part of the "Marathon Gameplay Reveal Showcase" stream, which will start at 10:00 am PT. The stream can be watched on the game's official channel on Twitch.

As a starter, the creators also released a brief video featuring a mechanical pet, a map, and - primarily in the background - a battle between unknown heroes. You can watch it below.

Marathon is one of at least 10 games-services from Sony's catalog that survived the disaster of Concord and two other titles. Many titles, even those licensed by iconic brands, were supposed to be discreetly cancelled. Apparently, the new project of Bungie studio didn't share this fate, despite the gloomy reports about the developer's situation in the last 2 years.

The marathon doesn't yet have a release date, but we know the target platforms: PC, PS5, and XSX/S (at least according to the information provided on the Bungie studio website).
