22 years ago new Fallout was canceled, now is back and you can test it for free
A team of modders has brought the concept of the original creators of the Fallout series back to its third installment. The only thing missing from Fallout: Revelation Blues is an isometric view.

Before Bethesda acquired the rights to the Fallout brand, Black Isle studio was working on the third installment of this post-apocalyptic series. The Van Buren project, which was the name for the third part being developed at the time, was canceled in 2003 because of the publisher's financial problems.
A mod that restores Fallout 3 to its 2003 version
Despite the age of 22 years, the original developers' idea for Fallout 3 has survived and is being recreated on the New Vegas engine by the United West team, which has released a demo of the project on NexusMods. Thanks to a mod called Fallout: Revelation Blues, we can explore the abandoned city of Burham Springs and search for hidden treasures and secrets there.
The first two installments of the Fallout series were characterized by an isometric view, which was also intended for the third part created by Black Isle Studios. Of course, the mod developers didn't return to this solution (as New Vegas has a FPP view), instead focusing on the concept of the Van Buren project itself.
If you want to check out the discussed mod and play the "revived" Fallout 3 from 2003, you must own a copy of New Vegas along with all DLCs. Below you will find several graphics that show the town of Burham Springs from Fallout: Revelation Blues.
Another project is also under development, aiming to restore the version of Fallout 3 from 22 years ago. The developer Adam Lacko, who started working on it in 2017, is responsible for it.
